How to Manage Summer Heat for Manufacturing Workshop?

During the summer months, the rising temperatures pose challenges to both the health of the employees and productivity. To address this, a program has been devised to prevent heat-related illnesses and lower the temperature within the working environment.

 

Flexible Scheduling System

SHQD factory is committed to promoting a flexible scheduling system and humanized management.  The factory operates on three shifts to facilitate injection molding production, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly. To ensure the physical and mental well-being of our employees while maintaining production efficiency.

Environmental Enhancements

One of the primary initiatives focuses on environmental enhancements. In the Plastic Department, where temperatures tend to be high due to the equipment in the workshop, measures have been taken to improve ventilation. This includes opening exhaust fans and window fans daily to promote air circulation and convection. Similar measures have been implemented in the Sheet Metal Department to maintain a comfortable working environment.

Enhancing Facilities

Furthermore, the factory has taken significant steps to prevent heatstroke by enhancing facilities. This includes the installation and renovation of roof fans in the Plastic workshop to expel hot air and the use of fans and air-conditioners to lower the internal workshop temperature. Additionally, "Summer Gift Packs" are provided to all staff members, and cooling drinks, fruits, and ice cream are distributed daily. Furthermore, the Personnel Department has equipped each department with necessary first-aid supplies.

To ensure the health and well-being of the employees, team managers have been tasked with monitoring the employees' working conditions and adjusting workloads as necessary. These measures not only uphold production efficiency and timely delivery but also enhance employee motivation and job satisfaction.
